Acer A500 Gen2 Ics Update Download
My a500 is currently running 3.2.1 and i know there's a newer os available for the a500, but the system update function still doesn't work (was the tab update supposed to fix that?) and i haven't been able to find instructions on manually updating the os.. Yes i just got it on my second hand tablet iconia a500. as soon i figured out that the download file was a double zip one, the update.zip was inside the posted: os_acer_7.014.02.041.205.01.pa.cus1_a32h_a zip file, and unzipped the file to my external sd card in the tablet.. The update was acer_a500_7.014.01_com_gen2. my android version is 3.2 and my build number is acer_a500_7.00.6.01_com_gen2. it downloads it fine, but when installing it starts to install but then stops..
This ics update will bring forward a lot of improvements, bug fixes and also enhancements to this acer iconia tab a500. with the improved user interface, navigation is made much easier than before.. It has been reported by the acer iconia tab a100 and a500 users that they are being pushed with the android 4.0 ice cream sandwich update notifications directly on their home screen which means that the update to the android 4.0 ice cream sandwich is now available for download on your mobile phone straightaway..
